Aluminum Alloy casting uses a top-of-the-line casting tooling design process for creating our molds from several material types. CAE and UG will be used for every new product development to analyze aluminum alloy part structure and casting process, we mainly use Germany type 1.2344 Steel/40CrMoV5/H13 for tool construction.

1.2344 steel

is known as a high performance, chromium-molybdenum-vanadium alloyed, hot work tool steel. Also, 1.2344 steel is produced with the very latest in production and refining methods. The specialized chemistry and manufacturing strength of 1.2344 steel, offer a nearly unmatched resistance to heat checking, gross cracking, hot wear and deforming, those ensure aluminum alloy parts sharing stable quality and long life.

1.2344 is a pressure resistant hot work die steel. This steel is remelted by electroslag, uniform in material, good in hardenability, excellent in machinability and polishing performance, high toughness and plasticity, good high and low temperature wear resistance and high temperature fatigue resistance and heat resistance. Uniform material, superior machinability and polishing, high toughness and high plasticity, high wear resistance at high and low temperatures, excellent overall hardenability, good high temperature strength and thermal fatigue resistance. Very low deformability during heat treatment, better isotropy than conventional steel, excellent toughness and plasticity in all directions. 1.2344 is a pressure-resistant hot work die steel.

1.2344 die steel, excellent polishing performance, easy cutting, high toughness and ductility. The material has the same thickness and transverse strength, good heat resistance, high temperature enthalpy, wear resistance and surface maturity. It is suitable for aluminum, zinc, alloy cold extrusion and mature die casting. 1.2344 mold steel has good wear resistance at high and low temperature, excellent toughness and ductility, stable and excellent and processability and throwing light, excellent high temperature strength and thermal fatigue resistance, excellent hardenability, very The small heat treatment size changes.

1.2344 mold steel main application:
1. Die-casting molds, such as mold cores, inserts, thimbles, and sleeves.
2, extrusion mold, such as: mold, mold pad, bushing.
3. Hot pressing forming die of aluminum, copper and magnesium.
4, plastic mold.
5, cold punch, trimming, hot shear, tightening ring and wear parts.

1.2344 is a German grade and is a pressure resistant hot work die steel. The steel is remelted by electroslag, uniform in material, good in hardenability, excellent in machinability and polishing performance, high toughness and plasticity, good high and low temperature wear resistance and high temperature fatigue resistance and heat resistance. Reference grade: American AISI/SAE standard grade H13, China GB standard grade 4Cr5MoVSi, Swedish UDDEHOLM standard grade ORVAR2M, Swedish one wins (ASSAB) standard grade 8402/8407, Japanese standard grade SKD61, Japan Hitachi (HITACHI) standard grade DAC, Japan’s Nachi (NACHI) standard grade HDS61, Germany DIN standard material number 1.2344, Austrian Bailu (BOHLER) standard grade W302.

How Molds, Tools and Inserts are used to cast parts

One important point is all molds are based on the mold design drawings. All the mold design drawings should be made according to customer’s part structure and requirements. Combine our optimal sampling plan with the actual operation to maximize efficiency. The mold structure is designed for the purpose of saving high quality blanks.

For pressure casting, molten metal is forced, under high pressure, into specially designed aluminum/zinc casting molds to create the part shape. This versatile process enables the production of a large quantity of small to large-size parts. These heavy casting steel dies can receive thousands of metal injection shots to manufacture identical Aluminum Castings and Zinc Castings.

The aluminum alloy casting tooling and mold making workshop, has modern casting capabilities to quickly develop new products for an evolving market. Equipped with more than 10 sets of professional mold processing machines, we can develop all aluminum and  zinc casting molds used for casting machines from 80T to 800T.

Design, Production and Maintenance

At aluminum alloy china, mold design and manufacturing completely adopt CAD/CAE/CAM technology. Our engineering team use computerized modeling to simulate the filling, cooling and expected shrinkage for highly complex components. This technique allows for thorough evaluation and refinement of the tooling design before tooling construction begins — and ensures that the tooling will produce the best possible part with optimal production efficiency. Our supplementary mold making team can also assist in formulating a comprehensive testing program to ensure the final integrity of your parts.

Our experience engineers provide perpetual tool and mold maintenance for the lifetime of our customer projects. This allows a dramatic cost savings that gets passed onto our customers.
